Anitta has released a new single!

The Brazillian pop star released “Boys Don’t Cry,” an English pop song infused with a reminiscent electro-rock sound. Anitta takes traditional 80s rock and new wave and converts it into a fantastic contemporary pop song. 

Along with the single, Anitta dropped the song’s horror-movie-inspired music video, which was directed by Anitta and Christian Breslauer.

The new track is another step away from Anitta’s usual Spanish and Portuguese reggaetón sound and more focused on English-language pop which has allowed Anitta to expand her audience and find new ways to express herself artistically. This single follows other hit English tracks dropped by Anitta last year, which include “Envolver,” “Faking Love” featuring Saweetie, and “Girl From Río.”

Anitta is currently working on her fifth studio album, Girl From Rio, slated for release later this year
