New Drag Race Franchise: Sweden!

World of Wonder has announced that the RuPaul’s Drag Race universe is expanding to Sweden!

In the last few years, Drag Race has expanded the franchise into countries such as Thailand, the United Kingdom, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Australia/New Zealand.

Other international iterations that are currently in production include Drag Race France hosted by Drag Race album Nicki Doll and Drag Race Philippines.

World of Wonder co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey said in a statement: “Drag Race and the art of drag are worldwide phenomena that continue to attract global viewers, so we are thrilled to introduce a fierce new group of queens with Drag Race Sweden.”

Swedish fans will get to watch Drag Race Sweden on SVT, but the series will simultaneously stream worldwide on WOW Presents Plus.

An official premiere date, cast, host and further details have not been announced yet, but the upcoming series is expected to premiere towards the end of 2022.
