Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” climbing the charts, how Strange!

Kate Bush‘s Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God), from her classic 1985 album Hounds of Love has been earning millions of streams recently.

The beloved alt-pop single has received a major surge in interest due to its use in the extremely popular ’80s-set Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things, which debuted its fourth season on May 27.

The fourth season of Stranger Things has been impressing everyone across the board. The new season currently holds a 94% critic rating and a 91% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The consensus for the show has not dropped compared to the third season.

The new season uses the song in multiple episodes, as a sort of recurring theme for the character of Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink.

Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God), which initially reached #3 in the UK in 1985, has suddenly skyrocketed to the top of every music chart. It has also soared to #4 in the Spotify Top 200 chart – after a 153% increase in streams – making it the artist’s most-streamed track, beating her iconic Wuthering Heights.

Could the 40-year-old track resurge to the top of the Billboard charts and remain consistent?

We’ll just have to wait and see.
