Rebel Wilson to launch Queer dating app!

Via Fluid

Rebel Wilson has launched a dating app called Fluid for singles wanting to find 'love without labels'.

The new mom co-founded the company, and she told People recently that she’s excited to be behind an inclusive dating app not limited by gender and sexual orientation.

Describing how the app works, Wilson told People, “The algorithm just picks up who you are vibing with and how much time you spend on certain profiles and it’s open enough so that if your sexuality moves into a different direction, it will follow because of what you are preferring on the app. The algorithm works on interests as well.”

“This is the first dating app where you don’t have to actually define yourself or tick a box to say ‘I’m straight, I’m gay, I’m bisexual’,” Wilson revealed.

“It covers a lot of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, but I think even if you're straight you could use the app and have an amazing time.”

The actor also shared, “I don't quite know how to define my sexuality, but I do know there's a lot of people out there that don't want to totally define it either.”

She remembered having to check either interested in men or women when she was still single and using other dating apps.

“I remember you had to tick a box saying ‘Are you interested in men? Are you interested in women?’ And they were the two options. It felt really weird,” she explained to the outlet.

Of course, there are many other dating apps available, and although Wilson hasn’t investigated all of them, she said that she thinks that having to “categorize yourself” results in a gap in the dating app market.

“Why I created Fluid was it’s just a very safe, very inclusive space where you don’t have to categorize yourself, so there can’t be any judgments,” she said.

The app will launch later this month. Anyone interested can visit fluiddatingapp.com to sign up.
