Prince Harry & Megan Markle unhappy by South Park
Comedy Central aired an episode titled “The Worldwide Privacy Tour” mocking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and their decision to move to the US for private life — and Megan reportedly isn’t too happy about it.
The episode makes fun of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they move to the town of South Park. The characters representing the couple step off the plane holding signs which read "we want our privacy” and "stop looking at us". The characters also promote the Prince’s book ‘Waaagh’ which is a jab at Harry’s latest book “Spare”.
After the show aired it was reported that the couple were considering legal action. However, their spokesperson has responded to the claims saying they were "baseless and boring."
Meghan was reportedly “annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all".
After the couple's Netflix series Harry & Meghan aired in December, their press secretary released a statement in response to the speculation that the couple wanted a more private life.
"Their statement announcing their decision to step back mentions nothing of privacy and reiterates their desire to continue their roles and public duties," the spokesperson said.
"Any suggestion otherwise speaks to a key point of this series," she continued. "They are choosing to share their story, on their terms, and yet the tabloid media has created an entirely untrue narrative that permeates press coverage and public opinion. The facts are right in front of them."
