Nicki Minaj proves once again why she’s the Queen of Rap!
Nicki has released her long-awaited single, “Do We Have A Problem?” featuring Lil Baby with an accompanying music video.
Directed by longtime collaborator Benny Boom, it’s an amazing, nearly 10-minute video, that presents us both the actor and rapper Minaj finally fulfilling fans and giving them what they’ve been waiting for. Nicki stars as an agent who is informed about a meeting of top criminal organizations. In a turn of events, she runs off with Lil Baby (who plays the criminal) as they complete a mission they had planned from the beginning. The visual also features a cameo from Joseph Sikora.
Minaj hasn’t released a full-length studio set since 2018’s Queen, but in a recent interview on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” Minaj revealed that her album will be released “this year” and before “summertime.”
Earlier this week Minaj spoke about her unreleased collaboration with Kanye West and fan favorite, New Body.
The track was originally recorded for West‘s scrapped ‘Yandhi’ album, but a reworked version didn’t make the cut on his ninth studio album ‘Jesus Is King’.
“The public adored New Body. Like, New Body was the biggest hit record that never came out,” Minaj told Hot 106.
“I think the ship has sailed for New Body because everybody has come to love the original way they heard it so I’ll just let everybody have that in their hearts. It is what it is.”
Despite my own sadness at the lost potential of the magnificent track, I definitely have the Queen’s comeback to look forward to!
