“I’m so sorry, but my show isn’t ready,” Adele announced in a tearful Instagram post. “We’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid. Half my crew … are down with Covid – they still are – and it’s been impossible to finish the show.”

The residency, Weekends with Adele, was scheduled to begin on 21 January at the Colosseum in the Caesars Palace casino, celebrating her critically acclaimed album 30, which topped charts in the UK, Australia, and the US. Tickets for the show were made available in December, with record-breaking sales.

This would have been one of her first live concerts in five years. Along with two dates in London's Hyde Park this summer, they are the only shows she currently has announced to promote her album, 30.

Adele apologized for making the announcement last minute, saying the crew has been up for the past 30 hours trying to find a solution. She also apologized specifically to people who traveled for even promising that they are working on rescheduling all dates.

"I am going to finish my show and get it to where it's supposed to be for all of you," said Adele.

"I am so sorry, it's been impossible. We've been up against so much and it's just not ready. I am really sorry," she said holding back tears. "I am so sorry."
