Tyra Banks to produce teenage drag series on Discovery+

Tyra Banks is set to executive produce the teenage drag series Generation Drag on Discovery+.
Generation Drag follows five teenagers: Jameson, Noah, Vinny, Bailey and Nabela as they prepare to participate in a Dragutante.
Dragutante is an event described as a drag ball for kids “upon which children under the age of eighteen can express themselves through the performance art of Drag.”
The six-episode series will showcase the teenagers as they try to balance the pressures of impending adulthood and coming into themselves as well as the ups-and-downs of both their biological and drag families.
Tyra Banks shared her excitement producing the project saying: “I have such admiration and respect for these teens. They are bravely navigating coming into their own in a world that can be very challenging and not always accepting. What is so beautiful is seeing their parents and siblings supporting them. These teens’ laser-focused tenacity inspires my team and me, and we are honored to share their stories. I can’t wait for these popping personalities to show their fierceness to the world.”
The series will release all six episodes Wednesday, June 1, on Discovery+.
