Tyra Banks leaves “Dancing With The Stars”

Tyra Banks has confirmed to People Magazine that she will not be returning as the host of the popular reality competition show, Dancing With The Stars. The supermodel and media personality took over as host of the show in 2020, succeeding Tom Bergeron.

Banks revealed that the decision to leave the show was not an easy one, as she had a great time hosting the show and working with the talented cast and crew. She expressed her gratitude to the team for their hard work and dedication, saying, "I had a wonderful time working with the incredible team at Dancing With The Stars, and I’m grateful for the support and love from the fans."

While Banks did not give a specific reason for her departure, she acknowledged that her busy schedule and other commitments played a role in her decision. "I’ve decided to leave the show to focus on my other business ventures and exciting new projects," she said.

Banks also took the opportunity to thank the fans of the show for their support and enthusiasm. "To all the fans of Dancing With The Stars, thank you for your love and support over the years," she said. "It has been an honor to be a part of such an incredible show, and I will always cherish the memories and friendships that I made."

Banks' departure from the show comes after a season that saw a decline in ratings and some criticism of her hosting style. However, it is unclear whether these factors played a role in her decision to leave.

Despite the news of Banks' departure, Dancing With The Stars will continue to air on ABC, and the show's producers are reportedly already looking for a new host to replace her. The future of the show remains uncertain, as it faces challenges such as declining ratings and a crowded field of reality competition shows.

Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars is expected to air on Disney+ this fall.
