Introducing Jaidyn Triplett: The BOPSTAR & Rising Star with a talent for music & ambition

In a recent interview with the talented Jaidyn Triplett, I had the pleasure of getting to know this rising star and her journey in the world of music. Jaidyn Triplett is an actress known for her roles in Black-ish and The Affair and is most recognized as Millicent Mitchell, the sarcastic and independent stepdaughter of Freddie Benson on the Paramount+ reboot of iCarly. With her debut song, BOPSTAR, already making waves, Jaidyn has captivated audiences with her catchy tunes and bubbly personality.

Despite her young age, Jaidyn's acting skills and on-screen charisma have garnered widespread recognition and a dedicated fan following. Her ability for sarcasm and comedy as well as bringing depth to her characters has earned her praise and huge likeability. Beyond her acting, Jaidyn's professionalism and dedication on set have made her a valuable asset to the show's success.

When asked about the inspiration behind BOPSTAR, Jaidyn shared, "It was inspired by playing on the term "Pop Star." I wanted to create a character, another alter ego of myself, who is confident and knows themselves. The song is all about being proud of the music I create and bragging that every song I release is going to be a bop. It's an empowering message, and I believe anyone can relate to the concept."

Determined to bring a unique blend of styles to her music, Jaidyn reveals, "When we got into the studio, we wanted each of my songs to explore different genres. I'm a person who listens to various types of music like pop, rock, hip hop, and more, so I wanted to showcase that diversity in my music as well." This passion for versatility is evident in her music video for BOPSTAR, where she effortlessly moves through different sets, showcasing her fashion sense and dance skills.

As we delve into her future projects, Jaidyn's excitement is palpable, sharing, "I have a song called 'Tornado' coming up, and it's a really fun party track. The music video is awesome, and I got some of my friends to be part of it, which made the experience even more enjoyable." Embracing her Afro-Latina heritage, she adds, "Expect the unexpected in the future. I'm looking forward to adding Spanish remixes to most of my songs."

When asked about her creative process, Jaidyn discloses, "My dad, who has a lot of experience in music, and the team in the studio play a significant role in the creative process. I'm open to everyone's input, but on my upcoming song 'I'm Enough,' I had the opportunity to write some of the lyrics, which was a special and essential part of the creative journey for me."

Expressing admiration for artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tate McRae, Jaidyn discusses her dream future collaborations. "I would love to collaborate with Tyler, the Creator and Kali Uchis" She also mentions artists like Ariana Grande who Triplett mentions in her song ("Then be on my way/ "thank u, next" Ariana" and whose beginnings were also young actresses. "My favorite artists are Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, and Olivia Rodrigo. They all inspire me with their music and unique styles, and it would be an incredible experience to work with them."

In a world where artists' connection with their fans is vital, Jaidyn reveals her approach. "My fans are everything to me, and I try my best to go live on social media and interact with them regularly. I want to continue being consistent with my image and showcase my Afro-Latina heritage while staying true to myself. Connecting with my fans and showing appreciation for their support is a top priority for me."

Her dedication and passion for her craft make Jaidyn a role model for aspiring artists. She imparts invaluable advice, "I always say that hard work and passion are the keys to success. If you're passionate about something and work hard for it, you'll create something you're truly proud of. Don't be afraid to explore your creativity and be authentic to yourself. That's when the magic happens."

Jaidyn also shared her experience shooting her upcoming horror film Tontology, “I filmed it in Ohio and I'm the lead in that so that was very surreal and magical for me.” The movie will reportedly come out in 2024.

As I wrap up my inspiring conversation with Jaidyn, I can't help but feel enthralled by her vibrant spirit and unwavering determination. With her diverse music and empowering messages, Jaidyn is undoubtedly a rising star to watch out for. Stay tuned for more from this talented artist as she continues to make waves in the music industry, leaving her mark on audiences worldwide.
